We come across a lot of cool stuff online throughout the week, so we’ve decided a nice forum to highlight what’s caught our eye lately at VOLTAGE is to post a Friday Five. I mean what else do you want to do Fridays at 5pm – but post cool stuff to your blog. We won’t disclose when we actually waste our valuable work time posting such items, but for all our clients . . .it’s Friday at 5pm – after all our hardwork is done, and we feel after long days and late nights – leaving at 5 on friday shouldn’t be a problem. 1. THE GOLDEN AGE OF MUSIC VIDEOS
A great video was noticed a while ago, but we have to highlight it as it is done in a big way and heralds back to the days of Thriller, when the BIG artists made BIG productions. 2. MEET THE LEAGUE OF EVIL
Very funny ad campaign for Net 10 at www.no-evil.net. Click on the cartoon episodes on the left. Maybe this really hits home because I’m pretty unhappy with my current cell service, and my kids have been watching superhero cartoons circa 1983 – and this nails it on the head! Very funny – good job Droga 5. Eric.

3. FREE FONT FROM MY FONTS
Isn’t it nice when your on a project looking for some new type – and find one that actually fits the project and is free!! We found one this week working on identity for the Center of Space Entreprenuership. It’s free to download here! And our name looks good in it!

4. THE LOW VOLTAGE RIDE
This is how we roll. A great commuter . . . when you live only 7 blocks from the office. The TREK Drift – single gear – loud bell – and ofcourse all Black – in the VOLTAGE style! It’s great fun to ride, and excels in it’s ultrawide GS turns on a downhill. Burns the legs uphill! Good training.

Yes, for you Audioholics out there, I have found the perfect desktop work radio! I am far from high tech, but know what sounds good, and must have audio options while working in the studio. So at target I picked up the Boston Acoustics Horizon Solo Radio. It’s basically just a great little speaker with a nice little radio in it. Preset stations, clock, alarms, and the reason I really got stoked on it was the Auxilary jack in the back that allows you to plug in your computer or iPod and feed any audio you want through the speaker. I typically plug in my computer and stream “the current” – My favorite Streaming Radio Station right now from Minneapolis public radio – and/or toggle between KBCO (97.3) – local boulder radio (my second fav station) or Talk radio – and all with simple turn of a knob! Cool! Audiominds unite!
